Things change as the world ages. Apparently the standard kilogram is getting smaller, and the makers of anything sold in a packet, whether it be washing powder or breakfast cereal, are upping the price, while paring away the amount of merchandise actually supplied. Some are quite deceptive about it.
I didn’t think I’d have to watch out for the same sort of short-changing in a commodity where size matters, like clothes.

You buy clothes to fit, and when you buy the same brand from the same supplier, it is reasonable to think there might be some consistency.

I bought a bunch of Lowes’ t-shirts, same as I do every year, and a few smaller-size ones for my partner. As the pictures show, Lowes’ t-shirts have gotten smaller. I can prove this consistently, and it isn’t down to stretching.

A 2010 4XL fits me with more room than a 2011 6XL.

Let’s say I’m not happy. I’m not averse to buying my 100% cotton t-shirts online if I must. I’m doing my best to shop locally, but if this is what I face, I’m keen to hear from those who can supply a product which actually matches its specifications.
