In 1884 or thereabouts, somebody stood on a Toowoomba footpath. The air was probably quite fresh apart from the occasional whiff of horse-exhaust. Looking at the Court House, he (and it was almost definitely a bloke: suffrage has come late and strange to Toowoomba!) exposed his plate, and later developed a picture.

Then, today, I did something similar. The vantage point was changed in many ways: road surface, traffic, air quality, noise, even the use of the Court House (now used as a private house and office suites).
