The little gecko who skitters across my studio ceiling hasn’t been seen for a while. He’s quite good at the stealth thing.
I was at the tech bench, squinting and trying to get all the little wires lined up for Yet Another Bloody RJ-45,
so I could trim and crimp (two 568B ends per cable, and don’t all the little strands want to go everywhere once they’ve been untwisted from their various pairs!) before testing, when…
There was a faint scuttering noice behind me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the Quick Brown Lizard retreating.
I managed to dash for the camera: by then he was hidden in a distant corner. There was only time for a couple of rapid pictures before he was gone again.
I’m presuming it’s the same individual lizard, in which case he’s grown a bit. The little chap is about as wide as my index finger-tip across the skull now.
Anyway, I should get back to doing useful stuff. Somebody wants the chair back…

OOOO, the comment function is working again.
I think you tried to Instant Message me or something? Except I’d realized I was late and rushed off to work. Then I came back and couldn’t get on your blog. Then I could get on your blog but couldn’t comment
Let’s see, what was I going to comment? OH! Cute gecko. I hope it’s the same guy :)

There was some downtime, Chris. That may have stopped comments.
The Instant Message thingy was a test. There’s a function in the software that lets me monitor all the goings-on at this little dotcom, and it has a message function for visitors who are onsite.
And yes, I thinks it’s the same gecko, grown big. I don’t mind if it’s just one of lots of geckos though. One can never have enough geckos.
