Sometimes they talk to me…

I sampled a clavinet1 sort of noise I made on this cheesy little Korg Mini synth I bought at a garage sale. Since the little bastard was almost impossible to control realtime [I love to tweak knobs 'n' dials while playing], I sold it2.
Later, when writing a sort of techno piece, I used the clavinet sample, but discovered it came out a bit like speech. The accidental find changed the final outcome …. which is this piece. Heavily populated with basses.

The remix is presented here for your downloading pleasure and RIAA-who-needs-them-ing3. It’s 10.7 Mb in size, for the quota-conscious.

1 Clavinet is that funky, jagged sounding keyboard that begins (and mainly carries) Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.

2 It was bought by one of the (then) leading purveyors of dolphin-rubs-chakras-with-purple-crystal pap. His business persona was more like a used karma car dealer.

3 Even if the RIAA standover merchants manage to shake somebody down, they are not paying artists. Makes for very questionable legitimacy, does it not?
