The big reconfiguration of studio/office continued yesterday, amid the distractions of going to vote, and watching eleven years of increasing nastiness come to an end.

We got the first decent rain in simply ages. It hasn’t rained this hard in years. It would be symbolic if this was the end of the drought too: let’s keep our superstitious little fingers crossed!

While fetching a shovel to dig a channel for one of the little lakes that seemed to spring up in inconvenient places, I encountered this little chap, who had taken refuge in the toolshed wastebasket.

Seeing my previous attempts at batrachian (and avian) taxonomy have been fairly wide of the mark, I’ll just say I think he’s a tree frog, and leave it at that.
