A handy hint for those who get tips

Worse still, there are those who TAKE from the tip jar. Aargh. Makes you want one of these when that happens, I bet…
When Herself and I were grabbing a coffee this afternoon, of course I tipped. And I noticed a great solution to the age-old problem of making the tip receptacle thingy noticeable and prominent, without inviting grabby little fingers.
Tips went into a bowl, filled with nice, blue-tinted water.
Tops marks for PsyOps, people! “Does it stain?” “Is it cold?” and the wonderful 15% Rule1, all rolled into one.
It’s a clever idea, and worth passing on.
1 - Each perceptible barrier (fence, gate, step, doorway, or in this case the surface of water) an intruder must pass reduces the likelihood of intrusion by 15%.
